About Me

Stephanie Monk : MSc: Animal Behaviour and Welfare , ISCP.Dip.Canine.Nutrition

Hello! I’m Steph and I am the face of C&S Animal Behaviour and Training. I spend all my time with my three wonderful sighthounds, five mischievous cats and three fun ponies. I know how hard it can be to try and find a suitable behaviourists and trainer, and hope to be that person for you. I focus on dogs and cats and the problems you face with them. All the training I use is up to date, science based and most importantly, kind!

I am a massive lover of animals having been around them all my life. I have focused on a career with them since a young age. My behaviour journey started at zoo’s and I have volunteered at several zoo’s for three years, and helped train big cats like tigers, to tiny marmosets!

After finishing my degree in 2016 at Anglia Ruskin University, I managed to get out of retail and started to work at one of the countries leading animal charities, where I worked for ten years

. I have worked with complex behaviours in all breeds of dogs and aided them on their journey in finding their forever home. This job really cemented that I wanted to work in behaviour so, I volunteered at a cattery to further my knowledge in cats and their behaviours to help their families live peacefully with their feline friends.

Not long after working in the rescue, I discovered how much of an impact diet can have on behaviour and medical ailments. In 2019, I dived into a Canine Nutrition diploma with the ISCP and was awarded a merit. I focus mainly on the RAW diet but can help owners with any diet advice where possible.

Recently in 2024, I took the journey into a Masters of Animal behaviour and welfare with Hartpury University to not only further my Knowledge, but to ensure I bring the best I can to my clients. I enjoyed this hugely and cemented my knowledge in the behaviour field.

My goal is for you to have the best relationship possibly with your furry friend and I strongly believe that a solid relationship starts out with an understanding with what your pet needs from you in every part of their life, while also fitting that around your busy life.
